Taylor optimistic Fiji Showcase 2026 will surpass last year's attendance

With fine weather greeting visitors on opening day, Communications Fiji Limited General Manager Charles Taylor is hopeful Fiji Showcase 2026 will surpass last year's attendance.

Taylor says everything is in motion, with 150 booths set up at this year's show, including 116 indoor booths and 34 outdoor booths, in addition to rides and other attractions.

He says there are lots of things to see and plenty of entertainment, including Brazilian juggler Piva, new international act AussieBela and local bands.

When asked about expectations for this year's event, Taylor says Fiji Showcase attracted 97,000 people last year and they are hoping to attract even more visitors this year.

Today is Telecom Fibre Friday and at the Telecom Fiji Internal Entertainment Stage, Brazilian juggler Piva will showcase his skills from 5.30pm to 6pm.

At the Vodafone External Entertainment Stage, the Luvuka Dance Group will perform from 6pm to 6.30pm, while international acrobatic duo AussieBela will demonstrate their spectacular acts from 7pm to 7.30pm.

Tauvu Tribute will perform from 7.30pm to 8.30pm, followed by Savu ni Delai Lomai from 8.30pm to 10pm.

Ticket prices remain unchanged at $4 for adults and $3 for children, while an online ticketing facility is also available for people wanting to avoid queues at the gate.

Fiji Showcase 2026 will run until next Saturday.
