Patients at Labasa Divisional Hospital will benefit from improved mobility after Maatuk Motor Spares PTE LTD donated 20 wheelchairs to the hospital.

Hospital staff say the wheelchairs will help patients move around more easily and comfortably while receiving treatment and will also assist healthcare workers in caring for them.

The wheelchairs were handed over by one of the company's directors during a ceremony attended by hospital staff and representatives of the Vodafone Festival of the Friendly North committee.

Staff welcomed the donation, saying the additional wheelchairs will help meet the needs of patients who depend on mobility support during their stay at the hospital.

Maatuk Motor Spares PTE LTD is also a major co-sponsor of the Vodafone Festival of the Friendly North.

Festival committee representatives thanked the company for supporting community initiatives and contributing to the wellbeing of people in the Northern Division.
