SODELPA’s Mere Samisoni will be the party’s next candidate in parliament after the passing away of SODELPA MP Ratu Sela Nanovo.
Electoral Commission Chairman Suresh Chandra says the commission has awarded the vacant seat in parliament to Mere Samisoni following the unavailability of Ratu Jone Kubuabola who the next eligible candidate to take the seat after the late Ratu Sela.
Samisoni had 1,855 votes in the 2014 general elections.
