Vakatawa to captain Drua Dev against Ba Rugby

Former French international Virimi Vakatawa will captain the Drua Development side in their clash against Ba Rugby in the curtain-raiser to the Drua and Brumbies match this Saturday in the Super Rugby Pacific competition.

In the front row, tighthead prop JD Sivivatu Kanth will pack down with hooker Mesulame Dolokoto and loosehead prop Joshua Uluibau.

Jeneiro Wakeham and Sailosi Vukalokalo will combine in the second row.

Vice-captain and blindside flanker Joseva Tamani will join openside flanker Sakiusa Lewenilovo in the loose forwards, while Sosiceni Waqa starts at number eight.

Garlen Peace and Pita Manamanaivalu will form the halves pairing.

On the wings, Taniela Rakuro takes the openside while Maika Tuitubou lines up on the blindside.

Captain Vakatawa will start at inside centre, partnering Inia Tabuavou at outside centre.

Isikeli Basiyalo will marshal the backfield from fullback.

On the bench, Mika Delana, Breyton Legge, and Emosi Mayanavanua provide front-row cover.

They are joined by Tomasi Vunibola, Tevita Natoga, Bogi Kikau, Maleli Nauvasi, and utility back Manasa Mataele.

The Drua Development side will face Ba Rugby at 12.30pm on Saturday.
