Drug tests are being carried out on soccer players to ensure Sanatan sports remain drug-free during the 64th Sanatan Convention in Navua.

Shree Sanatan Pratinidhi Sabha President Dhirendra Nand says the organisation is committed to maintaining clean sport, with drug tests already underway, including random checks on soccer players.

He says the focus is not only on highlighting the issue but also on finding solutions through community education and the promotion of positive values.

Nand confirms that all tests are conducted by qualified experts and in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Fiji Football Association.

He also stresses that members are voluntarily contributing to this effort, and their work must be recognised.

Tonight’s programme will include a Youth Night and a Gala Night, where branches will be recognised for their contributions.
