Fiji’s all-time top goal scorer, Roy Krishna, will lead Extra Bula FC as they kick off their OFC Pro League campaign tomorrow in Auckland.
The 29-member squad features a mix of young and experienced talent, with Krishna bringing leadership and firepower to the forwards alongside Fijians Ibraheem Afzal, Setareki Hughes, Veleni Rasorewa, and Christopher Wasasala, Trinidad and Tobago import Kailé Auvray, 20-year-old Kiwi Fergus Gillion, and 19-year-old Aussie Zacariah Harang.
Krishna’s squad boasts a solid defensive line with Mohammed Ayman, Filipe Baravilala, Ivan Kumar, Gabriele Matanisiga, Semi Nabenu, Sterling Vasconcellos, Scott Wara, and New Zealand’s Adam Supyk.
The midfield packs creativity and energy with Nabil Begg, Maikah Dau, Thomas Dunn, Yuta Konagaya, Solayman Mohammed, Ryan Naresh, Asivorosi Rabo, Josaia Sela, and Delon Shankar.
Between the sticks, the team relies on Frenchman Didier Desprez, Matthew Foord, Melvin Prakash, and Joji Vuakaca as goalkeepers.
Coach Stéphane Auvray says the team has been deliberately built around youth as part of a long-term development plan, acknowledging that this approach will bring early challenges.
Bula FC takes on Vanuatu United FC at 2pm tomorrow at Eden Park.
