Former world golf No 1 and veteran commentator, Sir Nick Faldo has undergone open heart surgery and is heading back home to recover.
The six-time major winner, who now lives in rural Montana in the United States, said on social media that he had the procedure to repair an enlarged aorta.
“Headed home,” the 68-year-old’s team posted on X.
After two weeks in Cleveland, Nick Faldo, and his wife, Lindsay, are on their way home following a successful, scheduled preventative open-heart surgery to repair his enlarged aorta, performed by world-renowned cardiac surgeon Dr Lars Svensson at The Cleveland Clinic.
