The Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s team remains firmly focused on winning the HSBC SVNS World 7s Series, a goal that has not changed since the start of the season.
Head Coach Osea Kolinisau highlighted this during the team’s training session at Albert Park, saying they go into every tournament aiming to win, and not to settle for second or third place.
Kolinisau says while the team is in a strong position, there are still small areas they need to fix, particularly in discipline and decision-making.
He says the players are learning from their mistakes and continue to work on making better decisions on the field.
The former Olympic gold medallist adds that the team’s New Year's resolution is to work hard and win the overall series.
Fiji is jointly top of the standings with South Africa and New Zealand, with all three teams locked on 32 points.
The National 7s team is preparing for the Singapore 7s that will be held on January 31st and February 1st.
