The Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s side had a scrimmage session against the Hong Kong 7s side in preparation for the HSBC SVNS Hong Kong 7s, which will be held this week.

The Fiji 7s team is sharpening its skills ahead of a tough battle.

Fiji has won the Hong Kong 7s 19 times, more than any other team since its inception in 1976.

The last time Fiji won the title was in 2019, ending their five-year winning streak.

The Fiji Men’s 7s side will begin their Hong Kong 7s campaign against Germany at 5.11pm Friday, followed by Great Britain at 8.21pm, before taking on France at 4.13pm Saturday in their final pool match.

The men’s Cup quarter-finals will start at 10.03pm on Saturday, the semi-finals at 6pm on Sunday, and the final at 11.14pm on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the Fijiana 7s side’s first pool match will be against Japan at 8.44pm Friday. They will then take on Brazil at 12.01am Saturday before meeting New Zealand at 5.01pm Saturday in their final pool match.

The women’s Cup quarter-finals will start at 9.13pm Saturday, the semi-finals will be held at 5.14pm Sunday, and the final is scheduled for 10.35pm Sunday.
