Aston Villa have moved into fourth place on the table after a comfortable 2–0 win over West Ham United, strengthening their push for a UEFA Champions League spot.
Villa captain John McGinn opened the scoring in the first half to give them a 1–0 lead at half-time.
Ollie Watkins scored the second goal for Villa in the 68th minute to secure the win.
The victory marks an improvement for the team, who had collected just nine points from their last 10 Premier League matches prior to this game.
In other matches, Sunderland defeated Newcastle United 2–1, while Nottingham Forest beat Tottenham Hotspur 3–0.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are leading the standings with 70 points, Manchester City are second with 61 points, while Manchester United are third with 55 points.
