Dranivotua and Tewa join Fiji 7s preparations for Singapore 7s

Police Blue player Akuila Dranivotua and Dominion Brothers Waisake Tewa have been included in the Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s extended squad following their performances in the McDonald’s Coral Coast Fiji 7s last week.

Dranivotua assisted the Police Blue side reach the cup semi finals of the Coral Coast 7s but they went down 17-12 to Yaro Chiefs.

Tewa is also an Olympian after representing Fiji in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris in the 100 and 200 metres race.

Meanwhile, preparations for the HSBC SVNS Singapore 7s has intensified as Fiji will be trying to defend their title next weekend.

Some prominent players in training today include Vuiviawa Naduvalo, Pilipo Bukayaro, Jerry Matana, Terio Veilawa, Manueli Maisamoa and George Bose.

Fiji is in Pool A with South Africa, Great Britain and Spain.

Fiji's first pool match is against Great Britain at 4.32pm next Saturday, they will then take on Spain at 7.58pm next Saturday and play South Africa at 11.46pm next Saturday.
