The Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s side are focusing on their defence as preparations intensify for their title defence at the HSBC SVNS Singapore 7s.Head Coach Osea Kolinisau says defence is a major area of focus heading into the tournament, which he describes as pivotal and for shaping the rest of Fiji’s series campaign.

Kolinisau says the current format of the competition means every match counts and there is no room for complacency.

He emphasised the importance of focusing on one game at a time and not underestimating any opponent.

He also revealed that he will be announcing the team going to Singapore today but he is keeping the details under wrap.

With the standings tight, Kolinisau says performances in Singapore could be decisive.

Fiji has been drawn in a tough pool in Singapore and will face Great Britain, Spain, and South Africa.

Fiji will take on Great Britain at 4.32pm next Saturday, before facing Spain at 7.58pm and South Africa at 11.46pm on the same day.
