Coral Coast Fiji 7s: New men’s champions to be crowned as Fiji Babas bow out

A new champion will be crowned in the men's competition of the McDonald's Coral Coast Fiji 7s after defending champions the Fiji Airways Men's 7s team competing under the banner of the Fijian Barbarians did not make the cup quarter finals. 

Ravuka Sharks will take on NZ Development 7s at 5.40pm in the first cup quarter final.

The McDonald's Mike Friday Select 7s meet Jacks of Fiji Devo Babas at 6pm, NZ Fijian Cavaliers 7s play Yaro Chiefs at 6.20pm, while Police Blue will meet Aussie Select 7s in the last quarter final at 6.40pm.

The cup semi finals will kick off at 1.30pm tomorrow with the cup final at 5.35pm.

The Taveuni Fiji Grassroots team are through to the Bred Bank Youth semi finals after defeating Bilo Bar Aflame Brothers 7-0.

Also through are St Theresa Nukubalavu, who defeated JVJQ Brothers 15-7, Brisk Birdland Brothers edged Tubarua Highlanders 24-19, while Village Boys secured the last spot in the semi finals after overcoming Axellarate Dominion Brothers 17-12.

The Youth Cup semi finals will kick off at 12.45pm tomorrow, with the Cup final to be held at 5.05pm tomorrow. 

In the Women's games, Police Blue thumped Pacific Nomads 19-0, Bilo Bar Aflame Women beat NaDraki Lilian Amazons 21-07, the Briars defeated NZ Development 7s 38-19, while the Fijiana 7s beat China 1 21-12.
