16-year-old midfielder Maikah Dau has become Bula FC's 12th player ahead of the OFC Pro League.
Dau is the youngest player in the squad and has already made a name for himself in youth football.
He began playing in kindergarten under the guidance of his father, former Rewa player Lorima Dau, and grew up watching Rewa’s training sessions.
Dau says this signing is a dream come true.
He says he was inspired by his dad and he feels proud to represent Fiji, adding that this opportunity is a huge deal for him.
He played football at Bhawani Dayal Primary, but after moving to Dilkusha Primary, he switched to rugby and continued playing it for two more years in Savusavu.
His football journey restarted when his uncle, Jagindar “Rocky” Singh, the president of Nasinu FC, brought him back to Suva at age 12.
From there, Dau quickly rose through the ranks, playing for Nasinu U16, then at IDC level for Rishikul High School, before moving into Nasinu U19 and later the senior team.
He has also represented Fiji in the U15 and U16 national teams.
Bula FC says Dau is a long-term talent and a key part of the club’s future.
