Bula FC Head Coach Stephane Auvray says the team has been put through an intense training programme, with a strong emphasis on fitness, endurance and professionalism as preparations continue for the upcoming OFC Pro League season.

Auvray says the players have been doing a lot of running, with training focused on aerobics and endurance to build a solid athletic base.

He says the team is training twice a day most of the time, combining physical work with technical ball sessions, while tactical work has been limited so far.

When questioned about how the foreign players are blending in, Auvray says they have settled in well and are contributing positively to the team environment.

He adds that players will be travelling home for Christmas, with training resuming on Sunday evening and continuing through to the team’s departure for New Zealand in January.

Bula FC will take on Vanuatu United FC in the OFC Professional League’s opening match on 17 January at Eden Park.
