Team Great Britain’s women curlers reignited their Winter Olympics campaign with a superb 7–6 victory over the Canada women’s national curling team, who were among the medal favourites.
After back-to-back defeats to China and South Korea, few expected them to upset the world champions, but Britain delivered a composed display.
The men also bounced back in style, beating the Czech Republic men’s national curling team 7–4 after their loss to Italy.
The win moves the world champions to three victories from four matches, keeping them on course for the semi-finals.
Britain’s men face Germany and Switzerland on Monday, while the women take on Sweden as they look to build momentum.
