Suva Grammar stamps mark in U17 girls division as top 4 confirmed

Defending Vodafone Fiji Secondary Schools Basketball girls U17 champions Suva Grammar School continues to stamp their mark in the National Championship that is currently underway at the Lautoka Multipurpose Court after booking their place in the semi finals following their 24-6 win over Latter Day Saints this morning.

Suva Grammar will be joined by Saint Joseph’s Secondary School White, Swami Vivekananda College and Gospel High School who all have also confirmed their place in the semi finals.

Saint Joseph’s White defeated Saint Joseph’s Blue 19-4, Swami Vivekananda College edged Natabua High School 13-11 and Gospel High defeated Yat Sen Secondary School 17-12.

Suva Grammar will take on Saint Joseph’s White in the first semi final and Swami Vivekananda will play Gospel in the second semi final.

Both U17 girls semi finals will start at 12.20pm today and will be played at court 1 and court 2.

Meanwhile, in the U15 boys quarter finals, International School Suva defeated Latter Day Saints 28-16, Marist 1 defeated Sacred Heart College 20-9, Yat Sen defeated International School Nadi 22-8 and Tilak High School edged Suva Grammar 11-8.

International School Suva will play Marist 1 in the first semi final and Yat Sen Secondary will play Tilak High in the second semi final.

The U15 boys semi finals will start at 11.40am and will be played at court 3 and court 4.
