Rio Olympic gold medalist Vatemo Ravouvou

Rio Olympic gold medalist Vatemo Ravouvou says he is now focused on the task at hand, and that is to motivate the players and lead them back to their winning culture.

Ravouvou was part of the training session that was held at the High-Performance Gymnasium this morning.

The man from Tavualevu in Tavua says what our national team have experienced while losing in the 19 different tournaments cannot be repeated.

He adds that being recalled back to the team has shown that he is here for a purpose, which is to share his experiences and lead our 7s players to glory.

Fiji will open their Hong Kong 7s campaign against Australia at 9.30pm next Friday, they will then take on Canada at 12.33am next Saturday and play France at 5.43pm next Saturday in their final pool match.

The Hong Kong 7s will be held from next Friday to Sunday.
