Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s coach Saiasi Fuli says they have set their target to defend their gold medal at the Pacific Games in the Solomon Islands.

Fuli says there are new players being selected to the team that has been preparing for the Pacific Games.

He says it's a good time for them to introduce the new players into the system and it will be a baptism of fire when they try to defend their title at the end of this month.

He adds their preparation is also focusing on the Dubai 7s that will be held in December.

Fuli says the national team will be selected this afternoon.

The Pacific Games will be held from the 19th of this month to the 2nd of December.
