Former Olympic Gold medallist and Biarritz flanker Masivesi Dakuwaqa has reportedly signed with Stade Niçois for next season.

The 31-year-old, who finished the 2025 season with Périgueux, was recently convicted of biting his former teammate Pierre Pagès.

Dakuwaqa is therefore expected to play in Nice next season.

The utility player has reportedly signed with the Côte d'Azur club in recent days, Sud Ouest announced on Monday.

While Jean-Baptiste Aldigé's club finished last in Pro D2 and was therefore relegated to the Nationale in May, it is said to be strengthening its roster by welcoming another former Biarrot player.

Dakuwaqa started the season with Biarritz before being dismissed following an extra-sporting affair, in which he was found guilty of biting his teammate Pierre Pagès.

Dakuwaqa recently accepted the sentence proposed by the prosecution: an eight-month suspended prison sentence and a €300 fine.

The case is not yet closed, and the player will return to court on September 18, 2025.

He had since joined Périgueux to finish the season in the National League, and with this signing, Nice completes its recruitment.
