Masi, Ravutaumada and Raisuqe to join Fiji 7s squad for Olympics preparation

Swire Shipping Fijian Drua duo Iosefo Masi and Selestino Ravutaumada alongside France-based Josaia Raisuqe will join the Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s side to prepare for the upcoming 2024 Paris Olympics next month.

This was confirmed by Fiji Men’s 7s team manager Willie Baleinabuli.

Masi and Ravutaumada were earlier named in the Fiji Water Flying Fijians squad for the upcoming June and July tests but have opted to join the Fiji 7s side.

Raisuqe is expected to join the team early next week.

Coach Kolinisau has named a 20-member extended squad to prepare for the Olympics and included Masi, Ravutaumada and Raisuqe.

The team will be later trimmed down to 13 players two-weeks from the Olympics.

The Fiji Men’s 7s side will be hosting the Australian 7s team for 4 scrimmaging sessions next week.

The Fiji 7s team will leave for the Olympics on the 1st of next month.
