Former Flying Fijians Kele Leawere and Seremaia Bai have been appointed to the coaching staff of the Rooster Chicken Fijian Drua women’s team.

Leawere as the Senior Assistant Coach for the Drua women and the Vodafone Fijiana 15s, while Seremaia Bai as the Assistant Coach for the Drua women.

The two legends will assist Drua women’s head coach Mosese Rauluni to try and get a historic three-peat in the 2024 Super Rugby Women’s competition.

Leawere has coaching experience at both provincial and national levels following his illustrious playing career where he earned 25 caps for the national team.

Bai also has experience as head coach with the Fijiana 15s in 2015, Eastern Saints Rugby Club back in 2020, Suva Rugby 10s, Fiji Rugby Academy U18 7s, Nasinu Provincial, and Lelean Memorial School Under-19 2017 Deans Secondary Schools competition.

Fiji Rugby Union Board of Trustees Chairman Peter Mazey says they are delighted to welcome two further additions to the Drua Women ahead of the Super Rugby Women’s competition as well as the Fijiana 15s.

Fijian Drua CEO Mark Evans says with Mosese Rauluni at the helm and assisted by Kele, Bai and other quality support staff, they will be able to perform at their very best at both levels of competition.

The Fijian Drua Women’s team will kick off their 2024 Super Rugby Women campaign on Sunday, March 17 at Brisbane’s Ballymore Stadium against the Queensland Reds.
