The return of former NRL star Jarryd Hayne into the international arena will not be anytime soon though it was revealed by Vodafone Fiji Bati Coach Wise Kativerata a few weeks ago that he is eager to bring Hayne back into the Fiji Bati squad after the star’s release from prison.

Kativerata said that the door is open for Hayne if he wants to join the Fiji Bati squad for the upcoming Pacific Rugby League Championship later this month.

A few weeks later, Kativerata confirmed that Hayne would not be pulling on the Bati jersey soon, but he had been in touch with Hayne recently.

Kativerata says there is a role available for Hayne if he wants it.

The Pacific Bowl will kick off on the 18th of this month, with the Bati playing their first match against the PNG Kumuls at 8.10pm on the 19th.
