Moana Pasifika and former Wallabies flyhalf Christian Leali’ifano have expressed his interest in playing for Samoa in the future.

After the Moana Pasifika’s narrow 47-46 loss to the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua in Lautoka last week, Leali’ifano says he has done enough in the Wallabies colors and he wants to finish off his rugby career for the Manu Samoa.

He says it would be an honor and a dream come true for him to represent his family and his bloodlines.

Leali’ifano was instrumental in Moana Pasifika’s late comeback against the Fijian Drua last week but could not help steal the win after missing the final conversion at full-time.

Meanwhile, Moana Pasifika’s coach Aaron Mauger has shown his and the team’s support towards the Fijian Drua in their bid to secure a place in the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific playoffs when they take on the Queensland Reds this weekend at the HFC Bank Stadium.

Mauger says it would be a historic achievement not only for Fiji but the Pacific rugby as a whole if the Fijian Drua makes it into the quarter finals.

The Fijian Drua will take on the Reds at 4.35pm Saturday.

Other games this week, the Blues will play the Highlanders at 7.05pm Friday, the Brumbies meet the Rebels at 9.35pm Friday, the Hurricanes host the Crusaders at 7.05pm Saturday, the Waratahs play Moana Pasifika at 9.35pm Saturday and the Western Force host the Chiefs at 12pm Sunday. You can buy your tickets from any Jack’s of Fiji outlet, Fiji Sports Council offices, Shop N Save Supermarkets or online at drua.rugby/tickets.
