More than 350 employees of Fiji Water and their family members gathered in Yaqara and at the company’s Naikabula site in Lautoka to watch the Fiji Water Flying Fijians’ Rugby World Cup 2023 opener against Wales this morning as the company paused production for a few hours so that all employees could enjoy breakfast and watch the exhilarating match.

In a statement, the company says they hosted a Rugby World Cup Watch Party with a dedicated Fiji WaterFan Zone, which was set up at the loading docks.

They say the watch party was a terrific success and employees were able to enjoy some time away from work to support the national team.

They add this special event builds on Fiji Water’s sponsorship of the Flying Fijians as the company welcomed the team to its bottling plant for an exclusive tour and employee meet-and-greet back in August.

The company says as the team’s exclusive official title sponsor, this partnership is reflective of Fiji Water’s longstanding commitment to working hand-in-hand with the people of Fiji to enhance the quality of life and to help create a more sustainable world.

The Flying Fijians unfortunately fell short to Wales 32-26 and have now turned their focus to their next match against the Wallabies next Monday.

They will play Australia at 3.45am in Lyon.
