Fiji Men’s Basketball wins bronze at the 2022 FIBA Melanesian Cup

The Fiji Men’s Basketball team have claimed the bronze medal at the FIBA Melanesian Cup after defeating Solomon Islands 67-53 at the Vodafone Arena this afternoon.

Fiji started well as they led 15-8 in the first quarter and pushed their lead to 25-14 in the second quarter.

In the third quarter, Solomon Islands came back firing to close the gap to 49-39.

The final quarter saw Fiji’s strength as they scored another 18 points to seal their victory.

Meanwhile, the Fiji Women’s team will meet PNG this evening in the Women’s final.
