FASANOC has paid tribute to former athlete, General Secretary and Team Manager of Fiji Bowls Abdul Kalim.

President Makarita Lenoa says Kalim was an avid bowler and a very reliable and responsible administrator.

Lenoa says Kalim will be greatly missed and long remembered for his many contributions to the sport of bowls in Fiji as well as his services to FASANOC and Team Fiji.

Kalim won numerous club and national titles and gave back to his sport as an administrator.

He held the position of Secretary of the Fiji Bowling Association as it was known in the day from 2003.

Kalim represented Fiji at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games and also won a gold medal at the 2019 Pacific Games in Samoa.

He represented Fiji in a number of other international events.

Kalim was laid to rest on Tuesday.
