Players’ clarity is one of the main areas that Fiji Water Flying Fijians coach Mick Byrne is working on with his management as they try to prepare the team in the best way possible for the upcoming July tests series against the Wallabies and Scotland.

While speaking on fijivillage Straight Talk with Vijay Narayan, Byrne says it is extremely difficult, especially working with players coming in from different environments like the Super Rugby Pacific, and players playing in Europe.

He says however, the coaching group they have in the likes of Aaron Mauger, Graham Dewes, and Seremaia Bai, they do not see that as a challenge from a point of view of a negative, but from a positive view.

Byrne says he knows our players want to play, and they love playing, but they have just got to try and understand the clarity.

He says they need to understand the clarity around their lineouts, back strikes, and how they want to set up themselves around the field.

Byrne says once the players have clarity, they are going to be fantastic players.

Meanwhile, the 32-member Flying Fijians squad will assemble this Thursday in Nadi before flying out to Newcastle on Friday.

Fiji will take on the Wallabies next Sunday at 3.30pm in Newcastle.

They will then play Scotland on the 12th of July at 3pm at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
