Semisi Apakuki and Mereani Batiki of Ba Provincial Free Bird Institute won the first gold medals in the Coca Cola Lautoka Zone this morning.
Apakuki won gold in the boys sub-junior 1,500 metres event while Batiki won gold in the girls sub-junior 1,500 metres event.
Natabua High School student Eparama Seru won gold in the junior boys 1,500 metres event while Ulamila Vata of Yasawa High School won gold in the junior girls 1,500 metres event.
