All Blacks star Caleb Clarke could not control his tears as he saw and heard his father Eroni Clarke sing the New Zealand national anthem during the first Bledisloe Test against the Wallabies.

Clarke says his father surprised him and that made him feel more motivated before the game.

He says he had his eyes closed and halfway through the English version, he thought to himself that the voice sounded familiar, and when he saw his father on the big screen singing, he could not control his tears.

Eroni himself played in the centres for the All Blacks in the 1990s.

The tears were well and truly flowing as the anthem ended with the two sharing an embrace afterwards.

According to the Clarke family, there was so much emotions in the family and they felt blessed.

The special day for the Clarke family continued when Caleb was first to strike for the All Blacks.

The All Blacks retained the Bledisloe Cup after defeating the Wallabies 33-24 and defending their fortress at Eden Park.
