William Ryder needs to get fit again and work his way up.
Those are the words of Vodafone Fiji 7s coach Ben Ryan after some fans asked why Ryder was not given a chance to be in the national 7s extended squad.
The former national rep could not help his Red Rock team when they lost all their games in their pool of the Bayleys Fiji Coral Coast 7s.
Ryan says Ryder has a lot of work to do.
Ryan adds that Ryder did not involve himself a lot in the game in the Coral Coast 7s.
Meanwhile the national 7s players will start camping this afternoon. Ryan also confirms that Semi Kunatani will be arriving tomorrow to prepare for the Wellington 7s.
Fiji is pooled with Wales, Argentina and Japan.
The team will leave for New Zealand next Tuesday while the Wellington 7s will be held next Saturday and Sunday.
New Zealand is the defending champion.
