Vosawai excited to be back on Fiji soil

Italy number eight and Fijian born Manoa Vosawai

Italy number eight and Fijian born Manoa Vosawai is looking forward to playing again at the ANZ Stadium after 10 years.

Vosawai who will be a key player for Italy played his last match at the Stadium in 2004 when he featured for the Suva Highlanders against the Coastal Stallions in the Colonial Cup.

The former Suva Grammar School student says he is also excited to play against some of his former school mates.

 

Fiji and Italy have played against each other nine times over three and a half decades.

Out of these nine matches, Italy has won 5 and Fiji 4 matches.

In their last encounter last year Italy won 37-31.

The Vodafone Flying Fijians will play Italy at the ANZ Stadium at 3pm Saturday and you can catch the live commentary on our sister station VITI FM.
