Former AFL CEO Ratu Sakiusa Tuisolia has resigned as President of the Fiji Rugby Union.
In a statement, Ratu Tuisolia confirms he has taken this step to ensure that the hard work and recent achievements of the FRU does not have a negative impact through the politically motivated charges brought against him by the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption.
He said he intends to mount a legal challenge against the 44 charges laid against him and believes that the rugby fraternity be given the opportunity to elect a new President of the FRU.
