Rugby World Cup quarterfinals referees announced

The referees for the Rugby World Cup quarterfinals has been announced.

Frenchman Jerome Garces will referee Australia's quarterfinal against England while Ben Skeen is the Technical Match Official.

Skeen was under the spotlight last week for his heavy influence in the Fiji vs Wales pool match and Australia vs Wales pool match.

Former Wallaby Drew Mitchell has even called for Skeen to be dropped because of his poor performances.

Welshman Nigel Owens will referee the New Zealand-Ireland quarterfinal, while Jaco Peyper will be the main referee for Wales-France and Wayne Barnes has been appointed for the Japan-South Africa match.

In the Rugby World Cup quarterfinals, Australia will face England at 7.15pm this Saturday, the All Blacks take on Ireland at 10.15pm this Saturday while France will play Wales at 7.15pm this Sunday.

Japan will face South Africa in the last quarterfinal at 10.15pm this Sunday.
