Fiji born All Blacks wing Waisake Naholo scored a try and help a second string All Blacks side defeat Japan 69‑31 in their Northern Tour test last night.

All Blacks centre Ngani Laumape ran in a hat‑trick for the world champions while first five Richie Mo'unga scored one of New Zealand's 10 tries and kicked a penalty and seven conversions for 22 points as they taught next year's World Cup hosts a lesson in front a record crowd for a rugby match in Japan of 43,751.

Other All Black’s tries were scored by Dane Coles, Te Toiroa Tahuriorangi and George Bridge.

Japan were lively in attack and scored five tries to contribute to the 100‑point tally for the match but could not contain the All Blacks in defence, missing 25 tackles on the way to an overwhelming defeat.

The All Blacks led Japan 38-19 at half time.

In other Northern tour test matches played this morning, Wales defeated Scotland 21-10 while England edged South Africa 12-11.

Meanwhile Italy will take on Ireland in their Northern test at 9am today.
