Waisake Naholo

Good news for the Highlanders as Waisake Naholo has been named at the wing despite the All Blacks camp that had seven Highlanders in doubt in the clash against the Blues tomorrow.

One notable change to the starting line‑up is the rotation of halfbacks with Kayne Hammington earning his first start of the 2018 season and Aaron Smith moving to the bench.

Head coach Aaron Mauger says Kayne has earned the opportunity and he is ready to give what is needed to start the game and Aaron will come on and finish well for them.

Having played four of their first six games at home the Highlanders now begin a stretch of five away games in six weeks.

Thomas Umaga‑Jensen, Richard Buckman, Liam Squire were both unavailable for selection for this week.

The Highlanders will face the Blues at 7.35pm tomorrow while the Waratahs will meet the Lions at 9.45pm.

On Saturday, the Crusaders take on the Sunwolves at 7.35pm, the Reds will take on the Chiefs at 9.45pm  while on Sunday the Bulls meet the Rebels at 1.05am, the Sharks face the Stormers at 3.15am, and the Brumbies will take on the Jaguares at 6.05pm.
