The New Zealand Black Caps have bounced back from three convincing losses to India to claim a big win of their own in the fourth one‑day international.
New Zealand’s Trent Boult was at his best to bundle out India for just 92 in Hamilton as New Zealand cruised to a eight‑wicket win.
Bowling his 10 overs without a break, he claimed 5‑21 in swing‑friendly conditions after captain Kane Williamson won the toss and opted to field.
Ross Taylor hit 37 not out and Henry Nicholls made an unbeaten 30 to guide their side home.
India were bowled out for 92.
Captain Virat Kohli was not playing as he was being rested while MS Dhoni was out due to a hamstring injury.
This is the first time since 2015 that India played a One Day International without both Dhoni and Kohli.
The teams move to Wellington for the fifth and final ODI on Sunday with India holding a 3‑1 lead in the series.
