Lawaqa Park is expected to undergo major renovation works in the next five weeks.
The Fiji Sports Council announced that critical construction work is required after a recent report highlighting a degrading state of the grandstand roof.
Council Chairman, Peter Mazey and the Board met at Lawaqa Park yesterday with senior sporting officials and Sigatoka community leaders to discuss the issue and to look at alternative solutions.
