Labasa town is gearing up for a busy week of football as preparations intensify for the 2026 Big Fiji FACT tournament at Subrail Park.
As excitement builds, Labasa Town Administrator Paul Jadu Ram says the town is expected to see a significant increase in activity during the tournament, with teams, officials and supporters travelling to Labasa for the four-day event.
Ram is urging fans to leave home early to avoid traffic congestion around Subrail Park and is also advising visitors from outside Labasa to secure accommodation as soon as possible.
He says the Labasa Town Council is working to ensure the venue is ready before the tournament begins, with improvement works currently underway, including the painting of the pavilion to enhance the viewing experience for spectators.
Ram is also calling on Labasa supporters to come out in numbers and rally behind the home team throughout the competition.
He says all preparations are on track to be completed before the opening day of the tournament.
The 2026 Big Fiji FACT will be held at Subrail Park from 18th to 21st June, with fans expected to witness four days of top football action as teams compete for one of the country's most prestigious titles.
The semi-finals will be held on 27th June, with the grand final scheduled for 28th June at Subrail Park.
