Fiji 7s men’s with fans at Raviravi village on Beqa Island

It was a historic and memorable moment for the Fiji 7s men’s and women’s teams as they had an open training session at Raviravi village on Beqa island this morning.

Villagers greeted the team with Fiji flags and songs as they arrived on the island.

They received a hero’s welcome and were then traditionally received by the villagers of Raviravi.

Many students were seen running around the players with their personalised messages written on placards, before the team had a full training session in front of the villagers.

Captain Osea Kolinisau says this visit was very special for all the players.

Kolinisau says the support of the children of Fiji has been amazing.

You can check out the photos and videos of the training session at Raviravi village on our website, fijivillage.com and on our facebook page: Fijivillage.
