Hammington to make an appearance for Chiefs this weekend

Kane Hammington could quite possibly be thrown in the deep end when the Chiefs tackle the Highlanders in their Super Rugby playoff in Dunedin.

The 23‑year‑old halfback is poised to make an appearance in the Chiefs jersey, his opportunity coming through Augustine Pulu being ruled out of the rest of the campaign due to an injury.

Hammington is the fifth No.9 to be involved in the Chiefs this year.

The Chiefs play the Highlanders at 7.35pm Saturday.
