Fiji beats Samoa in their first pool game of the Hong Kong 7s

The Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s team has gotten off to a flying start in their Hong Kong 7s campaign after defeating Samoa 31-12 in their first pool game this morning.

The national side scored five tries from Eroni Sau, Kalione Nasoko, Vatemo Ravouvou, Amenoni Nasilasila and Semi Kunatani.

Fiji was leading 17-0 at halftime as Samoa came back with two tries in the second half.

Looking at other results, Argentina beat Wales 31-10, USA and France drew 24-all, Scotland upset England 22-19, South Africa thrashed South Korea 45-0, Spain upset Australia 17-12, Kenya beat Canada 33-10 while New Zealand defeated Russia 36-5.

We will play  Russia at 5.54 this afternoon and then take on New Zealand at 9.54 tonight.

The quarterfinals will be held at 2.15pm tomorrow, semifinals will start at 7.41pm tomorrow while the final will be held at 11pm.
