Fiji Bati names 21 member team for USA clash in Rugby League World Cup

Fiji Bati team named for USA Clash

A 21 member team has been named for the Vodafone Fiji Bati that will play USA in their first Rugby League World Cup match this Saturday.

Captain Kevin Naiqama has been named at fullback, NRL’s leading try scorer from last season Suliasi Vunivalu and Marcelo Montoya have been named as the wingers while veteran Akuila Uate and Tanne Milne have been named as the centers.

Jarryd Hayne and Henry Raiwalui will start in the halves while Apisai Koroisau will start at hooker.

Kane Evans, Viliame Kikau, Ashton and Korbin Sims and Tui Kamikamica have been named as the forwards.

Players such as Jacob Saifiti, Eloni Vunakece, James Storer, Ben Nakubuwai and Pio Seci have been named in the substitutes.

The number of players will be reduced to 17 an hour before kick off.

USA has named players such as Eddy Pettybourne and Junior Vaivai who have previously played in the NRL.

Fiji Bati will play USA at 9.40pm this Saturday.

Meanwhile the opening match between Australia and England will kick off at 9pm Friday.
