The Chiefs showed incredible fight securing a 31‑31 draw against the Highlanders in Dunedin last night.
With just 12 minutes remaining in the match, the Chiefs scored two late tries to give themselves a chance to setup an upset.
The Highlanders had a chance to score a try after breakaway run by Josh McKay, but Highlanders winger Tevita Li was unable to find his mark with his final pass of the match going into touch.
In other matches, the Hurricanes defeated the Rebels 29-19, the Brumbies beat the Blues 26-21 while the Bulls beat the Waratahs 28-21.
