Anthony Joshua lands punches on Carlos Takam

Unified World Heavyweight Boxing champion Anthony Joshua has retained his IBF and WBA world heavyweight titles after defeating Carlos Takam by a technical knockout in the 10th round in Cardiff, Wales this morning.

Joshua who was ahead on the scorecards broke his nose in the second round after an accidental head butt from Takam however this did not stop Joshua from flooring Takam in the 5th round.

Takam hits the canvas after a let hook combo from Joshua

Joshua’s speed and punch accuracy was too good for Takam to dodge.

Referee Phil Edwards jumped in the 10th round to stop the fight and awarded the win to Joshua.

Joshua's punches were to accurate for Takam to dodge

Anthony Joshua has now won all 20 of his professional fights by knockout.

Joshua has only boxed 65 rounds in his career and has not gone past 11 rounds in any professional contest.

Meanwhile, in an interview after the fight, Joshua says he will give the people the fight they want.
