The Nadi bridge river has burst its bank.

The level was at 6.2m which is at the warning level.

21 evacuation centers are now open in Nadi.

Divisional Planning Officer Western, Sitiveni Tavaga says they expect more centers to open later tonight.

Meanwhile, At least 20 houses in Saravi and Navokai in Nadi have been flooded.

Resident Faiyad Naushad Ali says people have all moved to higher ground.

Ali says rain has also stopped and they are hoping water will recede.
