The bush and cane fires are becoming a serious concern for the National Fire Authority.
NFA CEO John O’Connor said the NFA is concerned with the cane, bush, rubbish and grass fires which have destroyed properties in the Western and Northern Divisions.
A house in Lomomolo, Lautoka, and another house in Tovata, Labasa, burnt down last week leaving two families homeless.
He said the fire started from cane and grass burning in both the incidents.
