Flood water in Rakiraki Town has receded and movement has returned to normal while Nailawa Crossing in Ra is still flooded and continues to disrupt travel.
Speaking to fijivillage News, Rakiraki Town Special Administrator Peni Duaniwai says water level has receded but they are continuing to monitor the weather conditions, as high tide could cause flooding again in some areas.
Michael Aisea from Nailawa says many people have had to turn back upon reaching the Nailawa Crossing as they are unable to cross.
He says the crossing has been underwater since this morning.
Meanwhile, the Fiji Roads Authority confirms in Rakiraki, Katudrau Crossing on Vatumani Road, Narara 1 Crossing on Narara Road, Drana Crossing on Korotale Road towards Rewasa Village, FSC Road off Korotale Road, Waimari Road off Korotale Road, Korotale Valley Road at Naqoro Flats, Burenitu low-level crossing, Barotu Road section, Vunikavikaloa low-level crossing, Nausori low-level crossing in Nalawa and Draiba Crossing along Valley Road are all closed to traffic.
Kings Road between the Volivoli Road junction and Ellington is accessible to 4x4 and larger vehicles only, while floodwater levels in Rakiraki Town are rising slowly.

Several roads and crossings in the Western Division have been flooded and are currently inaccessible following the recent heavy downpour.
Authorities are urging all drivers and road users to exercise extreme caution while travelling, as floodwaters continue to affect key routes across Ra, Ba, Lautoka, Tavua and surrounding areas.

Buabua Flats on Buabua Road is restricted to a single lane, while Buabua Road first crossing and Vakabuli Indian School Road are accessible to 4x4 vehicles only.
In Ba, Vatuyaka Crossing, Varadoli Crossing, Cemetery Road crossing, Koula Road, Marinitawa Road crossing, Toge Road crossing and Babriban Road crossing are flooded and closed to all traffic.
Kings Road at the Field 4 Road junction has surface flooding, while Kings Road at Yaladro Junction and Kings Road at Rabulu, Tavua, are accessible to 4x4 vehicles only.
In Tavua, Rukuruku Road, Mataniwai Road, Nadarivatu Road at Balata Flat, Yaladro Road, Masimasi Road crossing, Dramasi Road crossings numbers 1, 3 and 4, Nadelei Road crossing number 3, Nasomo Road crossing number 2, Navilawa third crossing and Nawai Road crossing are flooded and closed to all traffic.
Balata Road crossing is accessible to 4x4 vehicles only.
Meanwhile, Savalau first and second crossings remain open to 4x4 or heavy vehicles, although drivers are advised to take appropriate precautions, while Savalau third crossing is closed to all traffic.
Authorities continue to monitor the situation and advise road users to avoid flooded areas, follow official updates and prioritise safety as wet weather conditions persist across the Western Division.
