Wairiki 7s: Village Boys through to eliminations after winning all their pool games

Village Boys have continued to impress in the local 7s arena after winning all their pool games in the Fiji Bitter Wairiki 7s today.

They defeated Kava Vacalea 7-5, beat SR Amica 17-10 and then edged Wardens Gold 5-0.

Village Boys will now take on St Peter Navakawau in the main elimination.

Also looking promising in the tournament are Police Blue, who also won all their pool matches, thrashing Naselesele Blues 36-0.

They won by default against Navakacoa Blues, before thumping Fire Rescue Taveuni 21-0.

In other results, Lavena Redz thumped St Joseph Bro 2 29-0, Loloma Heights beat St Peter Navakawau 15-5, and Pegasus Brothers defeated Wairiki Old Boys 22-0.

The quarterfinals will be held tomorrow at the Wairiki Ground in Taveuni.
