Villarreal has defeated Elche 2-1 in their Spanish La Liga clash.
The home side took control in the first half, scoring twice to take a 2-0 lead at halftime.
Elche managed to score late in the match in the 82nd minute, but it was not enough to stop Villarreal from securing the victory and taking all three points.
In other matches, Getafe beat Real Betis 2-0, Sevilla and Rayo Vallecano played out a 1-1 draw, while Valencia defeated Alaves 3-2.
